Twitter Scales Advertising Fast by Chris Trayhorn, Publisher of mThink Blue Book, November 30, 2011 Twitter’s chief revenue officer revealed this week that Twitter now has more than 800 employees and over 2,400 advertisers. Adam Bain wouldn’t say what kind of revenue figures are resulting from these partners, but it means that Twitter has gained over 1,200 advertisers since last we heard from Bain back in June of this year. Twitter seems to be confident about their advertising business model, citing engagement rates of between 3% and 5%, which compares extremely well with typical display advertising engagement rates of about one tenth of that.
