Good Deed for the Day Time! by Yvonne Schellerup, October 13, 2010 80 abandoned children in Nepal need two minutes of your time. No money is involved. 🙂 Here’s the deal: a dear friend of the industry, Robert Ahearn, is the dad in one of 80 American families that have agreed to rescue Nepalese children from their orphanages via adoption. Help to bring these children home by signing the petition! Please read more. The State Dept. changed the rules in August, just as the kids were going to be leaving for their new homes. Now the kids are stuck there. So please take two minutes and put your name to a petition. You personally can make a difference. Sign the petition! Background: Michelle and Robert Ahearn recently adopted their darling 2 year old daughter Karuna from Nepal (pictured here) – but they cannot get her home due to a change in policy by the US government in processing orphan visas out of Nepal. This very difficult situation is affecting them and 79 other families in US. The families have prepared a petition to Congress to force them to issue visas now. We would very much appreciate your support by signing the petition. It’s numbers that count in getting our voices heard and we really need your help in getting their daughter home. Thanks for your help and please pass this along! http://www.petition2congress.com/2/3608/ Filed under: Revenue
