Amazon Forgets to Set up Kindledx.com by Chris Trayhorn, Publisher of mThink Blue Book, May 9, 2009 TechCrunch caught the fact that although Amazon had the foresight back in January to register the domain Kindledx.com ready for the launch of the new, larger Kindle ebook reader, on the day of the official launch the domain was simply a dead link. Given the media attention that the launch garnered, this was obviously something of a faux pas for the etail giant, showing that even the best of us can screw up when there’s a lot going on. To their credit however, they moved quickly with the result that today the domain redirects to the relevant page on Amazon where one can purchase the product. It’s pretty cool by the way.
