Google's Display Revenues Increasing 100% A Year by Revenue Performance Staff, January 19, 2012 This is the time of year when Google places an earnings call for its investors and uses the opportunity to provide insight into its profits and revenues. On Thursday Google CEO Larry Page revealed that display ad revenues are currently running at $5 billion per year, up from just $2.5 billion 12 months ago. Display ad revenue is not as profitable for Google as its search engine business because it has to share it with partner publishers in the Google Display Network, but still, 100% per year revenue growth is pretty nice. Of course, $5 billion is still fairly small beer in the total Google empire which brought in $37 billion in 2011, 29% up on the year before. What changes remains the same: Google is winning the Internet. Filed under: Revenue Tagged under: Advertising
