A $6 Billion Cyber-Week by Chris Trayhorn, Publisher of mThink Blue Book, December 7, 2011 comScore released figures this week showing that Cyber Monday now extends through the entire week. The week ending December 2nd showed $5.96 billion dollars in consumer spending online. The holiday season to date – from November 1st – has seen $18.7 billion dollars spent, a 15% increase over 2010. comScore’s results also show that Black Friday online sales were up 26% to $816 million this year, while Cyber Monday was up 22% to over $1.25 billion. Free shipping is shown to be the biggest single driver of conversions with almost 64% of transactions including it as an incentive. comScore’s highly informative press release is here.
