Google Updates Insights for Search Tool by Chris Trayhorn, Publisher of mThink Blue Book, March 18, 2009 Last August Google launched Insights for Search, a tool that analyzes search patterns over time, by geographic area or by terms and categories. It has now been updated to include a new set of data sources including Google News, Image Search and Product Search. Insights for Search has proven to be invaluable for smart advertisers wanting to take advantage of trends in the marketplace. It can show which keywords are increasing in popularity, which brands are on the rise and whether it’s worth geo-targeting a campaign for greater impact. Google is doing a terrific job with its free tools and Insights for Search is one my favorites. They even have a series of 60-second videos on YouTube to help get you up to speed. Check it out.
