In addition to developing its own offerings, Hitachi partners with other firms – including systems integrators, auditing firms and service providers – to create innovative XBRL solutions.

Moving Business to the Age of the XBRL-Enabled Company

In these early stages of XBRL adoption, Hitachi America, Ltd. XBRL Business Unit is working with organizations with the following needs:

  • Companies that want to reduce their time for financial analysis and reporting;
  • Companies with multiple divisions that are in a merger/acquisition process;
  • Companies trading on foreign or multinational exchanges; and
  • Companies that want to be perceived as leaders in technology adoption.

While XBRL is now being adopted primarily for financial reporting, Hitachi America’s XBRL Business Unit believes that its enormous advantages will spur its implementation for everyday use in general company activities, such as manufacturing, procurement, sales and human resources.
